Demolition begins on former JC Penney building for renovation

Key Construction has started demolition work on the former JC Penney building in  Ponca Plaza to prepare for a new Marshall’s store.

Today demolition crews were removing the facades on the south and west sides of the building.

A report from the Development Services office said the project bid is for $150,000. Klover Architects is the consultant and Key Construction is the contractor.

The City of Ponca City has completed its plan review and approval.
