Dan Moran Splash pad opens

The Dan Moran splash pad opens for the summer season tomorrow.

Jim Sindelar, Parks and Recreation director said the splash pad will be available to the public every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The new splash pad has two covered areas and bench seating around the play area.

As for the water features, it has four jet streams, two directional jets, a spray loop, aqua dome, two ombrello twirls, a water tunnel, a bucket trio, two rooster tails, three tube water cannons, flower and two ground geysers.

The splash pad provides entertainment for all ages.

The Parks and Recreation Department said they want to remind the public that the splash pad is a pet free area.

Also, in order to maintain the area properly, skateboards, skates, trikes and scooters aren’t allowed on the area.

This project was constructed with a portion of the hotel and motel tax, designated for improvement to city parks and facilities.

The contractor for this project was Benchmark Enterprises, LLC of Broken Arrow, Okla.
