Cushing man injured in motorcycle accident

CUSHING — A 20-year-old Cushing man was injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident at 6:44 p.m. Sunday about 5 miles south of Cushing, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Colton Piatt was transported by a personal vehicle to Cushing Hospital, where he was admitted for observation.

The Patrol’s report said Piatt was travelling westbound on County Road 770 on gravel road, approaching an ‘S’ turn over a paved bridge. The motorcycle’s brakes locked up and he laid motorcycle on its side. It departed roadway to the right. The report said Piatt was traveling too fast for conditions. He was not wearing a helmet.
