ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Oklahoma man Sunday night in connection with an alleged sexual crime involving a minor.

Jordan Andrew Tuttle, 19, of Bristow, Oklahoma, was arrested on suspicion of felony counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and contributing to a child’s misconduct by sheltering or concealing a runaway.

Tuttle was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $5,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City on the misconduct charge. There is no bond for aggravated indecent liberties. He remained in custody at the time of this release.

Officers were dispatched around 9:35 p.m. Sunday to Storbeck Dormitory, located at 109 S. Third St., for a report of a female found in the dormitory who was not a Cowley College student.

Further investigation determined that the 15-year-old female runaway from Oklahoma had been staying with Tuttle. The two allegedly had been having sex in the dormitory.

Tuttle was taken into custody and the alleged victim was returned to the custody of her mother.

A defendant’s guilt or innocence is to be determined by a court of law.
