A crash involving a Coweta Police SUV on Saturday is under investigation, authorities say.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash happened near Highway 51 and 111th Street Saturday night.

Coweta Police said the officer was chasing a motorcycle for traffic violations when a car pulled out in front of them.

Police said the driver didn’t see the pursuit and the officer hit their vehicle.

“The officer is OK,” said Coweta Police Chief Mike Bell. “One individual that was in that van that was involved in the accident was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Police said the motorcyclist was able to get away and they are still searching for that person.
