OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – An Oklahoma Corporation Commission spokesman says the commission is preparing to take action to force Sandridge Energy to reduce the amount of wastewater it’s injecting into disposal wells in an area rocked by earthquakes.

Spokesman Matt Skinner says Sandridge is not complying with a directive to reduce wastewater volume as part of a plan to reduce earthquake activity.

The company says it’s prepared to work through the commission’s established rules to "ensure decisions are based on scientific analysis."
