Cooler weather expected Friday

Ponca City Emergency Management Director Paula Cain said Thursday that cooler weather is expected to return Friday after near-record highs on Thursday.

“After near record breaking temps today we will see a 35 degree drop in the temps tomorrow,” she said.  “That doesn’t mean we will have another crummy weekend though!”

She said Ponca City residents can look forward to more normal weather this weekend.  Temperatures will range from upper 50s to low 60s, with partly cloudy skies.  Rain chances from now through Saturday are low, and rain here is probably unlikely.

“Any rain that occurs will be more like drizzle,” she said.
