Congressman Lucas Visits Vance Air Force Base

Cheyenne, OK – Today, Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) visited Vance Air Force Base and discussed base operations and how COVID-19 has affected the base’s missions with Vice Wing Commander Col. Jay Johnson and Chief Master Sergeant Kristy Earls. After the visit, Congressman Lucas made the following statement:

“Oklahoma has a rich military heritage and is home to thousands who have answered the call of service. I’m proud of the Airmen and women of Vance Air Force Base and am extremely honored to have the 71st Flying Training Wing call Enid, Oklahoma home,” said Congressman Lucas“As the men and women of the United States Air Force know, Vance Air Force Base and the 71st Flying Training Wing have long upheld their duty to prepare our pilots for the missions ahead. I commend the leadership of Wing Commander Col. Timothy S. Danielson, Vice Wing Commander Col. Jay Johnson and countless others on base, and look forward to supporting Vance Air Force Base’s mission for years to come.”
