Confirmed COVID-19 Case in Kay County remains in quarantine at home

Ponca City Now - March 16, 2020 4:11 pm

For the last several days, AllianceHealth Ponca City has been working collaboratively with the Oklahoma Department of Health regarding an individual who presented for testing to our facility. The individual was deemed to have risk factors and symptoms consistent with those associated with novel Coronavirus.

The test results have confirmed the individual has COVID-19. The individual remains at home in quarantine.

While there are currently no cases at the facility, the hospital continually works to ensure preparedness for all types of infectious diseases.

“We take seriously our role in helping to keep our community healthy, and we appreciate the agencies that are assisting us,” Kimberlyn Bivins, Director of Marketing, said Monday morning.
