Comparing top quarterbacks in Big 12

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Big 12 title-contending quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Kenny Hill both started their careers at other Power Five schools.

Mayfield was the first true freshman walk-on quarterback to start a season opener for an FBS team before he got to Oklahoma. Hill succeeded a Heisman Trophy winner before going to TCU.

Mayfield is trying to get the No. 2 Sooners into the College Football Playoff for the second time in three seasons. He is also considered the Heisman Trophy front-runner.
