Ponca City-
The food pantries at Ponca City’s West and East Middle Schools are supported by the Community Health Foundation through the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Each school orders food through the Food Bank each month, but were limited on what refrigerated items they could order.
With the help of a very generous donor, the Community Health Foundation purchased a new refrigerator for both West and East Middle Schools. Students will now have access to more food choices, like dairy products, meat, and fresh fruit, that were greatly limited prior to this purchase.
The School Pantry Program provides chronically hungry middle and high school students with food to sustain them after school and over the weekends and school holidays. Located on school grounds, school pantries make accessing nutritious food easy for the students.
The Community Health Foundation is proud to partner with generous community donors and vital programs that make a difference in our community every day.
