Commissioners approve Turner Street improvements

City commmissioners approved a contract Monday night for improvements to Turner Street from Donner north  to Prospect Avenue, a total of 1,855 feet.

The road will be reconstructed and will include wheelchair ramps at intersections. The $623,493.68 contract with Hembree and Hodgson Construction is scheduled to start in mid- to late April.

The project will be completed in phases to provide parking areas for residents during construction.

The project will be funded through the City Street Sales Tax Capital fund.
