Commission approves purchase of property

The Ponca City Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of property at 310 East Oklahoma during Monday’s board meeting.

The property’s legal description is lots 19 and 20, Block 11, Lynchville Addition to the City of Ponca City, Kay County, State of Oklahoma.

A contract for the sale of the property was signed by the owners of the property, Jim and Michelle Becker. The purchase price as agreed is $212,000.

The property is one of several parcels the city has purchased in an area to the east of the current Public Safety Center at 200 East Oklahoma since January. The property has been purchased through the city’s Capital Improvement Fund.
