City’s budget for last quarter on target

Ponca City Now - September 29, 2015 11:33 am

City Finance director Marc LaBossiere reported to the City Commission Monday night that the unaudited accounts for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2014-15, ending June 30, 2015, were generally at budget.

Revenues for the general fund were 103 percent of the budgeted amount. LaBossiere said revenue for the fiscal year started out strong, but dips in oil and gas tax revenues slowed revenue through the year. Street and alley, water and energy also had revenues that were above 100 percent of the budget. General fund expenditures were well under budget, at 93.29 percent of the budget.

"This is a great report in these challenging times," Mayor Homer Nicholson said.

The complete budget report is available for the public to review at the Ponca City Library or at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall.
