City Ordinance Prohibits Riding Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards in Downtown

City of Ponca City - October 3, 2022 6:56 am

The Ponca City Police Department wants to remind all citizens of a City Ordinance for downtown Ponca City.

The ordinance prohibits the riding of bikes, scooters, skateboards, and similar devices on the sidewalk in the downtown business district, which encompasses Grand Avenue from 7th Street to Pine Street.

It also includes any block that abuts Grand Avenue in the area.

Residents must walk with devices on sidewalks in these areas.

This is for the safety of those pedestrians walking in and out of businesses, and the riders.
