 Electric Power Restoration

To help restore electric service to all customers as soon as possible, Ponca City Energy has brought in additional crews from Pryor, Oklahoma; Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Monet, Missouri, and Mid Con from Ponca City.

If the electric meter box on your home has been pulled away from your home due to falling debris, please contact an electrical contractor to make this repair.  Ponca City Energy cannot restore electric service to your home until this repair has been completed.

If you see a downed electric line DO NOT TOUCH IT.

To report a power outage, please call the non-emergency Ponca City Energy phone number 580.767.0405.  For emergencies CALL 911.

Debris Removal

Crews from across City of Ponca City Departments are working together to remove debris from streets and alleys as soon as possible.

To report debris located in the street, please call the non-emergency Street Department phone number 580.767-0409.  For emergencies CALL 911.

The City of Ponca City will provide two TREE DEBRIS ONLY collection sites (no fee):

  • Collection sites are located at Dan Moran Park, 1117. W. South Avenue and Unity Gym, 1908 E. Woodland Road.
  • Tree limbs must be cut into sections no longer than 8 feet.
  • Tree limbs must be placed within the designated, orange safety fenced area.

The City of Ponca City will collect residential TREE DEBRIS ONLY (no fee):

  • Tree limbs must be cut into sections no longer than 8 feet.
  • Tree limbs must be placed at the curb (not in the street) and away from obstructions like poles, mail boxes, overhead wires, trees, and irrigation systems etc.  Do not place tree debris in alleyways, so alleyways are not blocked for utility access.
  • TREE LIMBS MUST BE PLACED AT THE CURB BEFORE MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23 TO BE COLLECTED.  Crews will only make one pass through a neighborhood to collect debris, so it must be AT THE CURB when they arrive.  Crews will only pick up tree debris located AT THE CURB.

Volunteer Services

Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief helps homeowners recover from disasters. Kay County Baptist churches are coordinating their efforts through First Baptist Church of Ponca City. If you need help please call 580.765.4427, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday or email [email protected].

Help will be prioritized by need. For example: priority will be given to the elderly, people with disabilities, people with access and functional needs, and single mothers. Recovery teams are made up of volunteers who give of their time for this ministry. They help as many callers as possible, but are sometimes unable to help everyone who calls.
