Cherokee Strip BBQ & Chili Cook Off of Ponca City September 20 and 21

The Cherokee Strip BBQ & Chili Cook Off of Ponca City is Friday, Sept 20 and Saturday Sept 21.
There will be vendors, food trucks and live music with local band M-Pyre from 4-8 on Friday.
On Saturday there will be live music by M-Pyre from 10:30 – 2:30, Vendors 10:00 – 3:00, and BBQ & Chili tasting from 12:30 – 2:30.

The proceeds from the Cherokee Strip Cookoff benefit Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. Over the years, the event has raised over $400,000 for this incredible nonprofit that provides crucial care and support to community members!

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma is a nonprofit organization that offers exceptional end-of-life care and grief support to the community at no charge. Their mission is to walk alongside those they serve, facilitating a peaceful end of life journey, while providing support to those who grieve the loss of loved ones.

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma offers the community:

· Hospice care from an interdisciplinary team including a physician, nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and medical equipment techs

· Specialized care for veterans through our We Honor Veterans program

· Counseling, support groups, and grief support

· Free durable medical equipment loans

· Up to 13 months of bereavement support following the loss of a loved one

· Annual memorial service to come together as a community in memory of loved ones
