The 32nd annual Cherokee Strip Barbeque and Chili Cook-Off is Saturday at the Lake Ponca Event Center. The event is hosted each year by Professionals Today, a local civic organization of career women.

At stake for competitors is more than $16,250 in prizes.

The cookoff is a feast of barbeque, chili, and other menu items, and is an annual fundraiser for Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. In the previous 31 years, Professionals Today has raised almost $500,000 for Hospice.
