2015 has been an awesome year for our Chamber. We always set the bar high and each year we try to exceed our goals. I’m not bragging, I’m just so thankful we are successful. We certainly exceeded our goals this year. I give all the credit to our 2015 Chamber Chair Bill Coleman and the best chamber members in the State of Oklahoma.
Our Santa Buck Giveaway was a huge success. Thank you Ponca City for Shopping Ponca FIRST! We, once again, distributed over a million tickets.
We had 32 Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies this year. This reflects millions of dollars of investment in Ponca City. We already have 3 Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies booked for 2016. We did 18 PRIDE trainings this year on offering quality customer service. Your business will not survive without quality customer service. This important training is free for our Chamber Members. We offered 4 Chamber Lunch and Learns. We had 8 Ponca Politics Forums. We had 11 Business after Hours events. We had 12 Cash Mobs recognizing the incredible shopping we offer in Ponca City.
This is the 30 th year for Leadership Ponca City. This great program continues to produce awesome leadership for Ponca City.
We distributed almost $140,000 in Chamber Bucks this year. This keeps dollars in Ponca City and with our Chamber Members.
We continue to work on education issues with outstanding programs benefitting our children. Politics is important to the chamber and I know it is to you. We are the voice for Ponca City and our programs help educate our member and citizens on the candidates and issues we face. We also are your voice with transportation, recreation and workforce development issues.
Tourism is vital to the success of our local economy. Several of our events had record attendance this year. Our attractions are being visited by individuals from all over the country and the world. We put a tremendous amount of effort in making this happen. This year we have a new web site and visitors guide. They both are incredible.
In this article I could not possible cover everything we have done this year benefitting Ponca City and our Chamber Members. It could not happen without your investment in our chamber and without our chamber volunteers. Thank you and Happy New Year!
