Happy Father’s Day!

The Chamber has a very active week ahead of us. To be honest that is just how I like it. I like being busy and making a difference.

I will be speaking to the Kay County Republicans on Monday night about the work of the chamber. I like letting people know the work we do to help the economy of Ponca City.

Our Chamber Board of Directors will meet Tuesday. They continue to work on the Party at the Palace/Chamber Auction. We have tickets at the office for our fun event to be held Friday, Aug. 21 at the Marland Mansion.

We have two ribbon cutting ceremonies this week along with a PRIDE Training on quality customer service.

Wednesday we are hosting a tour operator and on Thursday our Tourism Bureau meets. This will be Brook Lindsay’s last meeting as our Chair. She has done an amazing job. We are about to have a new look to our tourism web site due to her efforts and the work of Natalie Fraser and Austin Unruh. I’m really excited!

Bob Scott with the OSU-UML will be our guest speaker at our Ponca Politics Committee meeting on Friday. We have started bringing in guest speakers at our meetings. They have all been very interesting.
