Thank you to all of our Veterans who have served our great country on this 2018 Veterans Day.

We have two ribbon cutting ceremonies this week. The first one is on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Sheffield Travel. It will be at the Chamber Office located at Fifth and Grand Avenue. Julie and Todd Sheffield are the owners.

On Friday we will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Marland Children’s Home at 10 a.m. located at 1300 Summers Place. The Children’s home is going a new and exciting direction. Please join us and learn what they will be doing to benefit the children of Oklahoma.

Our 33rd Ponca City Leadership Class will have a session on industry Wednesday. Laurence Beliel is with the Ponca City Development Authority and is our day chair. This is an exciting day for the leadership class. They will learn about the products produced in Ponca City and shipped around the world. Plus the class will learn how diverse out industry is in Ponca City. Did you know that per capita Ponca City is ranked fifth in the state of Oklahoma in manufacturing jobs. The rankings are Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Lawton and Ponca City!

This week our Tourism Bureau will meet Thursday at 9 a.m. under the leadership of Zach Trantham our new Tourism Coordinator. Zach has been busy meeting all of our attraction directors and learning about their attraction.

Our Community Development Committee will meet that same day at 10 a.m. Please join us and be informed on what is taking place in Ponca City. It is always amazing.
