Chamber Chat

Do you ever ask why should I support the Chamber of Commerce? What do they do for me? Let me say, you should ask those questions and we should have the answer!

First off every day we give out information on Ponca City. I mean every day we receive a phone call or someone walks in seeking information about our great city. We are the information center for everything Ponca City. We take this role very serious and we are the only organization in Ponca City doing this.

This is what is taking place, just this week, with our Chamber:

We have our Santa Buck Giveaway promotion taking place. This is one of the largest retail promotions in Oklahoma. We promote “Shopping Ponca First” which creates a strong economy and jobs for our family and friends.

We offer quality customer service training. You can say “Shop Ponca First” but if you are not treated well that won’t happen. Just this week we have two trainings we are doing for different businesses.

Through our Tourism Bureau we promote our attractions and events. There is not another rural city in Oklahoma with as much to see and do as Ponca City. We truly are an Oklahoma tourist destination.

My last point to the question in this article is the fact we are your voice with the City, Kay County Government, State Government and on a national level. We have been working hard to make sure with the state budget cuts our citizens do not suffer more than we already have!

We take our Chamber role very serious. If you are not a member of our Chamber please consider being one. We are a great return on your investment and we need your support!
