Chamber banquet Jan. 30; Shasta Scott to be 2020 Chair

The Ponca City Chamber Banquet will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Phillips 66 Atrium.  Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased at the Chamber Office.

During the banquet we will recognize our Volunteer of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Industry of the Year and Business of the Year.  Erik Peitz will reflect on his year as 2019 Chamber Chair and Shasta Scott will address her goals for 2020.

Scott, Vice President of Community National Bank & Trust is the Chamber’s 2020 Chair.  She was born and raised in Ponca City. After graduating from Ponca City High School in 1991, she attended Northern Oklahoma College. Shasta started her mortgage career in 2003 at Security Title, working as an escrow officer closing mortgage transaction.  In 2010, she decided to try the other side of the mortgage process and moved to the banking industry. Scott has nearly 17 years in the mortgage industry.

In addition to her lending experience, she is involved in Ponca City. Scott currently serves as a City Commissioner for the City of Ponca City. She is Vice President of the Opportunity Center Board. Scott served on the Chamber of Commerce Board from 2014-2017 and joined the Executive Board in 2018.

Scott participated in Leadership Ponca City and is active with the Leadership Alumni. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Woman and the Oklahoma Mortgage Bankers Association.
She has been married to her husband Fred for 26 years and they have two adult sons, Blake and Brant. When she isn’t busy with work or community involvement, she enjoys fishing, football (especially the Ponca City Wildcats and Oklahoma Sooners) and relaxing with friends and family.
