Brothers accused of family’s deaths due in court

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Two Oklahoma brothers accused in the stabbing deaths of their parents and three siblings last month are scheduled to make an appearance in Tulsa district court.

Robert Davis Bever, 18, and Michael John Bever, 16, are to appear Monday, when a plea is likely to be entered on their behalf and a preliminary hearing date set.

The brothers were each charged Friday with five counts of first degree murder in the July 22 deaths of parents David Bever, 52, and April Bever, 44, and siblings Daniel Bever, 12; Christopher Bever, 7; and Victoria Bever, 5.

The brothers were also charged with one count of assault and battery with intent to kill involving multiple stabbings inflicted on a 13-year-old sister who survived the attack.
