At 6:30 p.m. Monday, the City of Ponca City reported that the water crew was able to place clamps on the broken 18-inch water main as a temporary measure to restore water services to affected residents and businesses.

A hydro-stop contractor will be on site to work with the city crew on permanent repairs of the water main later this week.

As of Monday night, all residents in the area from Bradley to north of Lowe’s, and from Fifth Street to Turner, should have water.
