A bowling fundraiser is set for 4 to  7 p.m. March 4 at Ponca Bowl, 2000 Lake Road.

For $20, bowlers and nonbowlers looking for fun will get two games, with shoes, two slices of pizza and a drink.

Part of the $20 charged by the bowling alley will go to benefit Harmony House.

Harmony House, at the corner of Third Street and Oklahoma Avenue, is home to several 12-step self-help groups dealing with the problems of drug and alcohol addiction.

The former Salvation Army building was purchased through funds from three sources: Local businesses and citizens, including individuals in recovery; Conoco Inc., and charitable foundations. Operations are supported by private contributions and fundraisers.

There are currently eight 12-step programs meeting at Harmony House to provide needed support, guidance and encouragement for persons seeking help to recover from alcoholism and drug addiction. There are 24 individual group meetings each week.
