Blackwell Teen Injured During Game of Hide and Seek

A Blackwell teen is in serious condition following an accident reported to police around 1:14 a.m. this morning in the 800 block of west McKinley in Blackwell.

Blackwell police chief Dewayne Wood said  the incident involved two juveniles who were playing hide and seek. Chief Woods said they were told that a 13-year-old girl was playing hide and seek with a friend when she ducked down in the driver’s seat of a vehicle knocking it out of gear causing the vehicle to back into a 14-year-old who was behind the vehicle.

Wood said the injured teen was transported to Blackwell hospital and then to OU Chidlren’s in Oklahoma City.

The accident remains under investigation.
