Blackwell Flea Market plans cancer fundraiser

The Blackwell Flea Market plans a cancer fundraiser to benefit Candace Brown, a schoolteacher and young mother of three who is facing cancer treatments.

The fundraiser will be Nov. 21 at the Blackwell Fair Grounds. It will be held in the Arena unless it is cold, in which case it will be moved to the 4-H building.This will be the last flea market of the season.

The fundraiser begins with a two-hour auction at 10 a.m. to benefit Kids for Christmas. Live entertainment begins at noon.

There will be drawings and raffles through the day, along with food vendors and flea market booths. There is no charge for anyone to set up a booth or food vendor location.

The public is invited to come and to bring their own chairs.
