Black Lives Matter March in Ponca City

Mike Seals - June 8, 2020 1:40 pm

At noon on the 8th June, a group of between 300 and 400 peaceful protestors started from 5th and Overbrook on a march to City Hall.

Carrying signs and chanting “No Justice, No Peace,” and “Say His Name, George Floyd,” the group braved the hot, humid weather to make their point: “Black Lives Matter.”

A strategic police presence helped ensure that the protest went as was planned by the Organizers; peacefully.
