Big 12 honors two baseball players

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Oklahoma infielder-outfielder Kolbey Carpenter and Oklahoma State outfielder Jon Littell are the Big 12 Player and co-newcomer of the week.

Carpenter was named Player of the Week after hitting .471 with three home runs last week while starting games at first base, second base and left field.

Littell is co-Newcomer of the Week after hitting .429 with two doubles and driving in five runs.

Preston Morrison of TCU was named Pitcher of the Week and Michael Cantu of Texas shares the Newcomer of the Week award.
