Bartlesville man injured in accident near Pawhuska

A 29-year-old Bartlesville man was injured in an accident on U.S.  Highway 60 near Pawhuska just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Joshua Arundell was driving a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter Van westbound when he departed the roadway to the right and struck a tree stump.

He was transported by Pawhuska EMS to Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville,  where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

The Highway Patrol report states Arundell was under the influence of drugs, which was cited as the cause of the accident.
