Bartlesville Attorney Rod Ramsey Dies in Kay County Motorcycle Crash

Bartlesville attorney Rodney D. Ramsey, 54, was killed Friday morning in a collision on State Highway 11, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Bartlesville attorney Rodney D. Ramsey, 54, was killed Friday morning in a collision on State Highway 11, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Ramsey was riding his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle on State Highway 11 at Acker Hill Road in Kaw City when it collided around 9:11 a.m. with a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup driven by Ernest S. Rennie, 60. Rennie was treated and released from Alliance Health of Ponca City.

Ramsey was transported to Alliance Health of Ponca City, where he was pronounced dead due to multiple injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, the report said.

He operated a general practice in Osage, Nowata and Washington counties since 1995, according to the Meason and Ramsey law firm website.

“He has aggressively and successfully represented thousands of clients charged with crimes,” the website says. “Rod is a native of Bartlesville that has been helping people with their legal problems for the last 29 years. He is an active member of his community and church.”

The accident is under investigation by the OHP.
