Michael Don Morris Jr, age 46, is in custody.
He was arrested last night in Beckham County.
Morris, was identified through surveillance photographs from the bank robbery at RCB, 2nd street and Grand avenue in Ponca City. The robbery was reported on Tuesday at 12:55pm. He handed the teller a note demanding cash and then moved his jacket to the side revealing a bulge. Although he never brandished a weapon, law enforcement working with the FBI, considered him armed and dangerous.
Morris was driving a 2006 red Dodge half ton pickup that was reported stolen. Morris had shaved his face and cut his hair short in an attempt to change his appearance.
The Ponca City Police Department worked closely with the FBI to disseminate information to surrounding law enforcement agencies within and just outside of Oklahoma. Morris was spotted late the night of the robbery leaving the Casino on I35 near the Tonkawa exit.
Beckham County is located on the western border of Oklahoma and includes Elk City and Sayre.
