COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – The Colorado attorney who represented Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh has been disbarred.

The Gazette reported Tuesday that the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel disbarred 77-year-old Dennis Hartley after he admitted to a series of misdeeds as part of a settlement.

The deal with regulators allowed Hartley to avoid a disciplinary hearing in exchange for his law license being surrendered. Hartley did not return the newspaper’s call for comment.
