Arrest made in fatal May stabbing at east Tulsa apartment

The Associated Press - July 7, 2019 10:12 am

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Police in Tulsa have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the stabbing death of another man in May.
Tulsa County Jail records indicate that Roderick Anderson was booked on a complaint of first-degree murder at about 1 p.m. on Friday. The records indicate that he is being held without bond, but they do not indicate if he is represented by an attorney.
Anderson is accused in the May 4th stabbing death of Elwood Gant at an east Tulsa apartment complex. A probable cause affidavit says that DNA testing and witness testimony linked Anderson to the slaying. The affidavit says that Anderson has denied being involved in the victim’s stabbing death.
Police say that Gant’s body was discovered in his apartment by a neighbor who had checked on him. Gant’s apartment door had been open all day.
