Armed Robbery Occurred Outside Braums Store in Blackwell on Saturday

Employee robbed in Blackwell

BLACKWELL — Blackwell police are investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred at 2:54 p.m. Saturday in the Braum’s parking lot.

Blackwell Police Chief Dwayne Wood said officers responded to the scene  Saturday afternoon and spoke with the victim who was an employee at Braums. The employee was in her car when she was approached by a male that pointed a handgun at her and demanded money for gas. The victim gave the suspect a small amount of money. The suspect left in a silver four-door Honda Accord, possibly mid-2000s model, and traveled west on Highway 11 to Interstate 35 according to Cheif Wood.

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair,  in his late 20s- to early 30s, approximately 5’7”, weighing between 180-210 pounds.

According to Wood, Surveillance video has been retrieved.
