ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas — The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Arkansas City man Sunday in connection with a seizure of marijuana Friday at an apartment complex.

Felix Canas, 28, was arrested on suspicion of no drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, as well as felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Canas was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in lieu of $27,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City. He remained in custody at the time of this release.

Officers were dispatched around 3:22 p.m. Friday to 619 W. Skyline Road for a report of several suspicious individuals entering and exiting Apartment B2.

Police applied for and received a search warrant for the premises. Inside, they found 184 grams of marijuana, several other items thought to contain THC, and related drug-sale and drug-use paraphernalia.
