Ark City man arrested on suspicion of multiple burglaries, thefts

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — An Arkansas City man was arrested early Saturday morning by the Arkansas City Police Department in connection with several recent burglaries and thefts.

Casey Christopher Taylor, 30, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of burglary and five counts of theft. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $20,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.

Taylor remained in custody at the time of this release.

Officers responded Friday night to the 1000 block of North B Street for several reports of burglary and theft. During the investigation, Taylor was identified as a possible suspect.

He was taken to the Arkansas City Police Department and questioned about the incidents.

During the interview, police learned of additional burglaries that had not yet been reported.

Numerous stolen items were discovered and collected through the course of the investigation.

Taylor was arrested about 2:45 a.m. Saturday and taken to the county jail.
