Trout Students Decorate Doors for Red Ribbon Week

One of the many Red Ribbon Week festivities at Trout Elementary School this year was having a door decorating contest. The two winning doors are shown above. Mrs. Franklin’s pre-kindergarten class door theme was “We’re too cool for drugs!” The door was covered with great designs and pictures of her students.
Ms. Cantrell’s fifth grade class designed their door after the popular iPod saying “ITune out drugs because … and students wrote their reasons on paper musical notes and posted them on the wall. Fifth grade student Jaegan Garza said, “I Tune out drugs so I don’t go to jail,” and Torran Cremers said, “Because I want to be a good role model.”
