Students Honored At Ponca City Middle School

West middle school students are recognized and honored throughout the year for their achievements in many ways.

One of those is the Students On a Roll program, SOAR which has been going on at West for many years.

How does a student get nominated to be a SOAR student?

The student’s advisory teacher selects a student who they believe has had an outstanding accomplishment or who has demonstrated hard work, dedication or other positive traits.

The students being honored get to invite their family members to the awards ceremony and watch them get their certificate and hear what their teacher wrote about them.

Coffee, juice and donuts are served to the SOAR students and guests.
