Lincoln second grade class receives special package

Mrs. Castleman and her second grade class at Lincoln Elementary received a special package. The package was a listening center complete with a CD player, headphones, table-top organizer and multiple small group book sets with CD’s. Donors from across the country funded this. Castleman created a project on the Donor’s Choose website where her project for the listening center was approved. She was able to post it on a variety of social media sites, and it was posted on donorschoose.org for any potential donor to donate towards the project. Now that her class has the materials, she will be taking pictures of the class using the product. The class will write thank you notes, they will be sent to Donor’s Choose and forwarded to those who donated. Castleman and her class are ecstatic about the new listening center and the books that will open a whole new world to literature.
