Adysen Thompson Named Miss NOC

Adysen Thompson of Prague, Oklahoma, was crowned Miss NOC Tuesday night at the Kinzer Performing Arts Center by Miss NOC 2024 Jaidyn Burrell.

Thompson, a freshman at NOC Stillwater received a $1000 scholarship expense award, Miss America crown and pin, sash and a bouquet of long-stemmed red roses. She will advance to the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant in Tulsa next June.

Her talent was performing the monologue HER story: From Pasture to Plate.

Her community service initiative was “The Barn and Beyond:  Cultivating Confidence through American Agriculture.”

First runner-up for Amberlynn Kelly from Ponca City. She received a $600 scholarship expense award.

Second runner-up was Addison Polk of Durant who received a $400 scholarship expense award.  She also won the newly created People’s Choice Award.  The Third runner-up was Abby Davis of Tonkawa.

Other delegates in the Miss NOC Scholarship Competition were Madison Mandrigues of Kingston, Oklahoma; Cristal Cain of Blanchard, Oklahoma; Adelina Valencia of Sunnyside, Washington; Faith Oshiro of Enid, Oklahoma; Gabryela Mendoza Lara of Enid, Oklahoma; and Jaclynn Heitman of Ponca City, Oklahoma.  Each received a $250 tuition waiver participation award.

Candidates were judged in the talent competition as well as artistic expression, presence and poise in evening and exercise wear and an on-stage question. Earlier in the day they were individually interviewed by five judges.

Dr. Edward Dixon, NOC Fine Arts Division chair, served as master of ceremonies for the evening.

NOC President Diana Morris and Watkins and Miss NOC Program Director Shannon Varner, presented the official Miss NOC portrait to Burrell.
