County roads in poor condition

Ponca City Now - December 28, 2015 10:53 am

County Commissioner Vance Johnson reported this morning that Kay County roads are in poor condition Monday, despite crews sanding and salting them.

He asked drivers to exercise extra special precautions for any necessary travel.

"Conditions are improving but the roads are still in poor condition," he said.

He advised motorists to stay on main traveled roads and to stay off Hubbard Road. Since it has very little traffic, ice and water have collected to make it extremely hazardous.

Johnson advised drivers to drive at 35 miles an hour or less.
