Red flag fire warning issued

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – Forecasters have issued a red flag warning for parts of Oklahoma, saying that dry, gusty weather will create dangerous wildfire conditions.
The warning is in effect from noon Wednesday until 6 p.m. for much of the state. The National Weather Service in Norman says winds will gust to more than 40 mph in most locations. That, combined with temperatures in the 70s and low humidity levels, raises the risk of wildfires.
The risk area includes the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas.
Forecasters are discouraging all outdoor burning and say drivers could be affected by blowing dust, making visibility difficult.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible east of Interstate 35 but no severe storms are expected.
