AllianceHealth Ponca City to Host Mammography Event

Ponca City Now - October 2, 2015 12:14 pm

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AllianceHealth Ponca City is hosting a “Massage, Manicure & Mammo Fair” from 7:20 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 23.

Complimentary spa treatment, including chair massage and manicure, will be available to all participants. This is a come-and-go event and limited appointment times will be available.

Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. The good news is that many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. A mammogram can help find breast cancer early when it’s easier to treat.

This event is open to women who have not had a mammogram in the past year and are 40 years or over. Space is limited, so be sure to call today to make your appointment. Insurance will be billed for mammograms.

The “Massage, Manicure & Mammo Fair” will be held in the Healthy Living Conference Center and the Women’s Center on the first floor of the Specialty Services Building, 1908 North 14th, on the hospital campus.

A physician order is required. Call 765-0499 to make your appointment. Resources are available for those who qualify for financial assistance.
