Veterans’ Plaza work progressing

Ponca City Now - September 25, 2015 12:02 pm

Concrete crews continue to pour and shape the Veterans’ Plaza at Fourth Street and Grand Avenue Friday. Today concrete was poured from an overhead tubing system as workers spread it out. The circle in the center was poured recently and is the area which includes a water feature.

The plaza is a project of the Ponca City Main Street program to honor all veterans in the Kay County area.

Main Street is still raising money for the project and is down to raising the last $20,000, director Chelsea McConnell. Landscaping is expected to start next week, she said.
