OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma State Fair opens its 11-day run Thursday, featuring fair food, carnival rides, concerts and a bull riding tour.

This year’s theme is "Miles of Smiles," and an opening ceremony is set for 5 p.m. Thursday.

New foods this year include a bacon-wrapped doughnut burger, deep-fried banana pudding, deep-fried coffee and a waffle burger. Officials estimate that fairgoers last year consumed more than 45,000 cinnamon rolls and 12 tons of turkey legs.

The fair is also bringing back its Oklahoma Frontier Experience, which features old-time shows, demonstrations and activities.

The fair begins Thursday and runs through Sept. 27.
