Oklahoma City woman charged after wife thrown from car

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – A 29-year-old woman has been charged in the death of her wife, who fell from the top of a moving vehicle in Oklahoma City.

Chrysanthemum Ewertz was charged Thursday with first-degree manslaughter in the death of 32-year-old Sabrina Ewertz on Sept. 4.

According to authorities, the couple had been arguing inside their home when the suspect left and got into her vehicle. Police say the suspect’s wife followed her and jumped on top of the car.

A court affidavit says the suspect told police she told her wife several times to get off of the car but she refused. Authorities say the suspect accelerated and her wife was thrown off.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was not immediately known if Chrysanthemum Ewertz has an attorney.
