Authorities investigating officer-involved shooting at Red Rock

On Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, shots were fired by an OHP Trooper during a pursuit in Pawnee and Noble Counties. The incident involved a reported stolen 2001 blue Ford Ranger pickup.

The suspect, Brandon James Wooten, a 40-year-old white male, led law enforcement officers on a lengthy pursuit beginning around 8:15 p.m. He was northbound on County Road 210 at State Highway 15 in Noble County when shots were fired by one OHP Trooper. The pursuit ended and Wooten was transported to a Tulsa hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.

No law enforcement officers were injured. Investigation into this event is ongoing.

Agencies involved included Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office, Noble County Sheriff’s Office, Pawnee Police Department, Yale Police Department and OHP.
