The Ponca Pride Rally marking the kick-off of the “Hometown Teams” exhibit at the Pioneer Woman Museum is getting closer! The rally starts at 10 a.m. Saturday in a big way. State Representatives John Pfeiffer and Steve Vaughan are scheduled to appear, along with other local dignitaries.

The Po-Hi band, Hi Steppers, cheer squad, color guard, athletes and coaches will be arriving in buses to build excitement for the event, brought to Ponca City by the Smithsonian Main Street Program.

Employees from the Oklahoma Historical Society started putting the exhibit together on Tuesday. It is traveling in 21 large cases and includes a section of bleachers.

The high school’s booster clubs and a food truck are all part of Saturday’s rally. Admission to the museum will be free on Saturday. The exhibit will be in Ponca City through September.
